International applicants should ensure that the
amount paid covers bank charges.
International cheques are acceptable only if
drawn on a South African clearing bank. British
postal orders are also accepted.
Applicants with refugee and asylum
seeker status recognised by the Department
of Home Affairs pay the fee for South African
citizens. Other people who are citizens of
other countries (e.g. Lesotho) must pay the
international fee.
Ways of paying the fee
EasyPay.
You can pay your application fee
at Checkers, Pick 'n Pay or any outlet with
the EasyPay sign. This number is printed
on the tear-off slip on the back of your
application form or you can contact our
Call Centre for the number. The number is
made up from your 12 digit CAO number.
Credit card
payment byVisa or Mastercard.
You can make a credit card payment online
at
www.cao.ac.za
. Go to
‘My Application’
and follow the prompts. OR ask the
cardholder to enter the card number, card
validation number and expiry date and
other details on the form or on the slip
printed from the website, and to sign the
authorisation.

make it payable to the Central Applications
Office and NOT to an institution. Please
write your CAO number on the front of the
postal order in the notes box. Please post
your
original postal order
and keep
your receipt as proof of payment.
Bank card.
If you come into the CAO in
person we will accept payment by debit or
credit card.
